For nearly six years, I facilitated orientation sessions for new hires via Google Meet and Microsoft Teams.
What makes a virtual session engaging are mostly the same things that make a live orientation great; organization, stimulating interaction, energy, enthusiasm, and the ability to establish and cultivate rapport!
